Teachers in Region IV-A are finding it difficult to integrate the new Data Science elective into the existing Grade 10 Math curriculum. Need more training.
Instead of textbook datasets, I have my students collect real municipal data—rice yields, rainfall, population growth—for our Statistics and Probability class. It's been great for engagement. Happy to share our activity sheets and assessment rubrics for anyone who wants to try this approach.
We recently onboarded 8 new Teacher I hires in our district, all fresh from pre-service. Our veteran teachers are willing to mentor, but we lack a structured framework. Looking for successful buddy-system or co-teaching models that have worked in other divisions.
