Biodiversity mapping as an alternative to traditional lab work

Frequent typhoons in Ilocos Norte make it nearly impossible to schedule outdoor fieldwork consistently. We've shifted to a semester-long biodiversity mapping project where students document species in their barangays during clear weather windows. It preserves inquiry quality while being flexible.
